Overlooking the Hudson River, the Plaza terminates at Liberty Street with a cantilevered shade structure that reflects lack of 'solid ground' in this area and provides an armature for spontaneous activity.

Located over the original World Trade Center Pumphouse, this newly reclaimed community space includes a shaded plaza, a play area for younger children and a dogrun.  The project was challenging technically as the space has few opportunties for soil or structure . The space is redesigned to allow public access directly from the avis of Liberty to the lower esplanade and was completed in May, 2005.
